Welcome, Young Musicians!
High school and college students are encouraged to think about joining one of our many WNY community choirs—while still a student or after graduation! Check the Choral Events page for upcoming concerts and take advantage of special student rates. Visit our Consortium and Resources pages for a complete listing of area choral ensembles, and rehearsal details.
Check out two additional $1,000 scholarships offered by our partner organizations:

High school students are encouraged to apply for our annual GBFOM $1,000 Scholarship for students intending to pursue music at the collegiate level. Download the Application.
Austin Vitello of Clarence High School Receives Inaugural GBFOM $1000 Scholarship at Clarence’s Awards Night on June 2, 2025 Austin has been playing bassoon for nine years. His resumé and audition were outstanding!

How to enter the contest:

Attend a concert listed on our GBFOM Choral Events page.

After the concert, use the Contact Us form at the bottom of our Home page and include:

Favorite Piece from the Concert (short text comments).

GBFOM will conduct three drawings of $100 each throughout the program year. You may enter multiple times, with one entry per concert.
