YOUNG MUSICIANS
Welcome, Young Musicians!
High school and college students are encouraged to think about joining one of our many WNY community choirs—while still a student or after graduation! Check the Choral Events page for upcoming concerts and take advantage of special student rates. Visit our Consortium and Resources pages for a complete listing of area choral ensembles, and rehearsal details.
High school students are encouraged to apply for our annual GBFOM $1,000 Scholarship for students intending to pursue music at the collegiate level.

2026 GBFOM Scholarship Winners
Eva Sanchez of West Seneca NY was the recipient of one of 3, $1000 scholarships awarded this year. Eva attended Orchard Park High School and will be attending SUNY Fredonia in the fall of 2026 and will study Music Composition.
Charlotte Zgliczynski of Lancaster, NY was our 2nd $1000 scholarship awardee and attended Lancaster High School. She will pursue bassoon performance at the Glenn Gould School of the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Olivia Zientek of Hamburg, NY was our final $1000 recipient and attended Hamburg High School. Olivia, a violinist, will study at the Berklee Conservatory of Music in Boston.
2025 GBFOM Scholarship Winner
Austin Vitello of Clarence High School was our inaugural winner at Clarence’s Awards Night. Austin has been playing bassoon for nine years. His resumé and audition were outstanding!

GBFOM will conduct three drawings of $100 each throughout the program year. You may enter multiple times, with one entry per concert.
